Welcome to my Blog. Let me instroduce myself, My name is Roy, and I am an author of Historical Fiction. I have just completed my newest novel entitled, Then...A Patriot I'll Be. It is a graphic novel about a young boy growing up in Boston, Massachusetts during the American Revolutionary War. It covers his growing up as a grandson of a Loyallist tavern owner, although he soon finds that he is more alligned with the American cause than the British Crown, as his family has always sided with. Although this leads to a massive conflict in his young life, he is forced to follow his heart and eventually turn his back on his family and pursue the cause by enlisting into the Continental Army. The book then follows his hardships and victories throughout his military career; centering on relationships with other fellow patriots (including real historical characters). This young man's story cronicles his actions in battle, camp life, and of course on the march, as he strives to achieve his vision of freedom from the oppression of King George III and Great Britain.
